Welcome to Logan City State Emergency Service

This is the official website of Logan City State Emergency Service and is aimed at giving the general public an
overview of what we do & how YOU can become a volunteer in this organisation. We have been described as 'Orange Angels', we are all volunteers and do not get paid for the activities that we undertake. The State Emergency Service (SES) is a volunteer based organisation dedicated to assisting the community in times of emergency and disaster. 


What we do

SES Group have approved functions based on their local hazards and therefore may not be trained in or perform all functions you see in the media.

Logan SES are trained in

Storm Damage Operations – this includes but not limited to – temporary roof repairs, sandbagging operations, tree and debris removal.

Flood Boat Operations – this includes but not limited to – flood rescues, resupply, and river searching

Search operations – this includes but not limited to – Land searches for missing people, both urban and rural searches, forensic searches (at QPS request)

Welfare Operations – this includes but not limited to - providing support to other emergency services, providing emergency lighting, catering and communications.
